I bought this for my 2-year-old son. We started swimming lessons with him and the first two weeks were not so good. He never had been in a pool or at a beach before so it was quite overwhelming.I ordered this book in hopes that his fear of swimming would subside. We read the book once and he wanted to read it again and again. There was one time when he asked if he could read the book during lunch. I let him and it was me reading the book the entire time he ate (I'm sure I read it at least 6 times).
He loves going to the pool now and we have Savannah's Swim Lessons in the car so that he can read it all of the time. He likes to look at the pictures and watch Savannah swim. He always compares each page with what he and his dad do during the swim lesson. I really feel that this book did help with his fear of the water, especially since all he talks about is going to the pool when he reads it.

I bought this book to get my boys excited and prepared for swim lessons. It served this purpose. It isn't anything special, but it is a simple, sweet story.
Pam is an excellent teacher, with years of water experience in pools and open ocean. This book will provide a positive awarness of water and will instill condidence on a beginning level. Parents are required for supervision AS ALWAYS.
Pam Baker is the best swim instructor I've ever met. She had my son swimming across the pool by his third birthday. Pam has a wonderful way with children, and she knows the best way to teach children how to love the water is to show them how to be safe. I'm buying this book for all my nieces and nephews!
I have known Pam Baker for many years, she taught all 3 of my children how to swim and taught the children of many friends as well. Pam is one of a kind and has a unique ability to connect to children and teach them comfort and confidence in the water. She always emphasized safety with my children and was a master at teaching swim techniques. Best of all, however, is her magic with young children and her ability to ease them into the world of swimming.
