I Think I Love You An Oxford Novel edition by Lauren Layne Contemporary Romance eBooks

The final book in this amazing series (or actually 2 related series) by Lauren Layne was everything I hoped it would be. A friends to lovers romance between Brit and Hunter who have been best friends in all the Oxford series, with all the characters from both Stilettos and Oxford being featured, left me sad that the series is ending, but it was such a fun Rom Com book that if you like laugh out loud, and yet thoughtful romantic contemporary romances, try this book, and then hopefully go back and read how all the couples got together. Sad this is over, but can’t wait to see what Ms. Layne has in store next.

I Think I Love You An Oxford Novel edition by Lauren Layne Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews

I really enjoyed the characters and story! Definitely recommend.
It’s sad to say goodbye to the Stiletto/Oxford gang. I’ve loved reading all their individual stories and fell in love with the characters over and over again. Thank you Lauren for writing such fun stories all with laugh out loud dialogue, heartbreak, and swoon worthy moments. Keep up the great writing! I get super excited every time a new Lauren Layne book pops up on my kindle! Love!
I know that "perfect" is a strong word, but this romantic story is my favorite kind. Lauren Layne's writing is so smooth and engaging...I was drawn right into Brit and Hunter's world. Funny, sexy, heart-warming, the list goes on and on. Perfect.
When Brit gets dumped once again, she goes to Hunter, her boss and best friend for advice. The two work together at Oxford in Operations, the last two in a wide series of couples and friends who work with them at the webzine and its sister publication Stiletto. Hunter agrees, reluctantly, to help Brit overcome her dry spell and give her some pointers on how to attract the 'right' man.
I love a good friends-to-lovers story and I Think I Love You is one of the best of these in a contemporary romance. I haven't read the others in the series - this is the last book - and I'll definitely go back and grab them. This can be read as a stand-alone book though a lot of the other characters appear and I found it a little confusing at times as to who they all were.
The banter between Brit and Hunter is great, and they have obviously been good friends for a long time. Their confusion as they start to realize the attraction between them was very real and adds a lot of tension to the story. They're both just nice people who really deserve each other.
It's a very sweet story and a sexy read; the author does a nice job in portraying the sexual attraction. The reference to the Rembrandts' song was very apt as these are people you want as friends. I really enjoyed this book.
The final installment of the Stiletto and Oxford series by Lauren Layne does not disappoint. It's one of my favorite types of romances to read, the friends-to-lovers stories, and Layne executes it beautifully. All of the characters from previous books make an appearance, so the reader has a chance to check in with each of them one last time as well. It can get a little confusing to keep track of all of the secondary characters, so if you have it in you, a binge-read of the entire series might help keep all the characters straight. If you don't, though, Layne does a good job of re-introducing all the secondary characters so you won't feel lost. Layne does a fabulous job of writing friendships, and that aspect of her writing really showed through in this story, especially since the main story-line featured two best friends. It was such a joy to read about the friendship between Hunter and Brit, and how that friendship stayed the base of the relationship, even after they had started sleeping together. My only complaint about this was that the resolution of the main conflict seemed a little rushed.

Overall the story was fun and easy, although the ending was bittersweet.. I''m sad to see the series end, but I look forward to reading more of Lauren Layne's writing.
I Think I Love You is the 5th book in the Oxford series but can be read as a stand alone. Each book is about a different set of characters with the common factor being the Oxford offices and group of friends. I have read all of the previous books and could not wait to get back to the characters and shenanigans at Oxford. Even though it can be read as a stand alone I highly recommend reading the entire series. That way you are familiar with all of the beloved secondary characters who all add a little something to the story. Also, the series is fun and sexy and an absolute joy to read.

It's no secret that Lauren Layne is one of my leading guilty pleasure authors along with her Oxford series so it came as no surprise to me that I adored Brit and Hunter. I am a big fan of a good friends to lovers story and this one delivered. I was in their corner the entire time. A long term friendship and work relationship made the taboo relationship all the more exciting and sexy. I've said it a million times before that the anticipation is even sexier than the between the sheets action and I Think I Love You was filled with both. Both characters were wonderful to get to know and even though I found there to be a little less of the signature banter that Lauren Layne is spectacular at writing, reading will be sure to fall in love with them.

The story was a little bit predictable but that is to be expected once you hit the 5th book in a series. Having said that, it did nothing to lesson my enjoyment of the book. I was happy to get back into the Oxford offices and get a front row seat to yet another blooming relationship. It was a little bittersweet when I turned the last page knowing that there will be no more Oxford and no more office relationships. Over the course of the five books I feel like I got to know the characters and I will miss reading about their adventures in love and relationships.

If you are a fan of contemporary romances that are fun and sexy I would highly recommend I Think I Love You and the entire Oxford series. You won't be disappointed. Do yourself a favour and read the entire series from beginning to end. You'll love the stories and characters as much as I did.
